Researches

Infectious Disease Field
We are conducting research on the transmission and infectivity of non-tuberculous mycobacterial diseases, as well as effective infection control measures and treatments. This includes epidemiological studies, environmental investigations, and basic research, with collaborative studies ongoing with many specialized institutions. Additionally, in pneumonia treatment, we continuously conduct clinical research to address various questions, many of which are cited in various guidelines. Furthermore, we are promoting basic research towards the development of a Pseudomonas aeruginosa vaccine.

Interstitial Lung Disease Field
We conduct original research as well as collaborative studies with multiple institutions, focusing primarily on chest imaging. Our research pays attention to perspectives that return to basic chest X-rays and the differentiation between pulmonary fibrosis and fibrosing hypersensitivity pneumonitis.

Lung Cancer Field
We participate in various domestic multi-center clinical trials and also conduct our own original clinical research. Additionally, we are advancing the analysis of adverse events related to treatment using large-scale domestic data.

Airway Diseases
We are conducting epidemiological studies and image analysis on bronchiectasis. Additionally, we are advancing basic research on the relationship between COVID-19 infection and inhaled steroids.
